Born on October 25, 1957 in the state farm Chaldar of the Chimkent district of the South Kazakhstan region.

In 1978 he graduated from the Alma-Ata Higher All-Arms Command School. He served as platoon commander, company commander, chief of staff of a motorized rifle battalion, deputy chief of staff of a motorized rifle regiment.

In 1990 he graduated from the Military Academy named after MV Frunze. He served as chief of staff - deputy chief of civil defense in the Alatau district of Almaty.

In 1996 he graduated from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. He served as Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chief of the Operational Planning Department, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chief of the Army Corps, Commander of Mobile Forces, Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Commander of the Regional Command "Vostok", First Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Chiefs of Staff of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From March 2010 - First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chairman of the Committee of Chiefs of Staff of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From January 2013 - First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From October 1981 to October 1983, he participated in military operations in the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan, in 1993-1994 he performed a peacekeeping mission in the Republic of Tajikistan.

Awards: Order "Red Star", Order "For Service to Motherland in the Armed Forces of the USSR" III degree, Order "Dank" I degree, Order "Dank" II degree, Order "Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky" II degree, Diploma of the Commonwealth of Independent States ( for active work on strengthening and developing the Commonwealth of Independent States (2000) and other medals.
