The 19th meeting of the Military Committee on the development of military cooperation of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member States will be held via videoconferencing on December 8, 2021. The meeting will be chaired by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation - First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Valery Gerasimov. The meeting will be attended by the Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, and the CSTO Deputy Secretary General Takhir Khayrulloyev.

Challenges and threats to military security in Eastern European, Caucasus and Central Asian regions of collective security, as well as issues of further development of the Collective Air Forces and the organization of air cover of coalition groupings of troops during their deployment and use in regions of collective security will be discussed.

The Military Committee members will be informed about the priority directions of the CSTO activities in the military sphere proposed by the Republic of Armenia during its presidency in the Organization in 2022, about the state bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic acting in the sphere of defense, about the progress in involving the CSTO peacekeeping potential in the UN peacekeeping activities, as well as about training military personnel for the CSTO member States in missile troops and artillery specialties at the Mikhailov Military Artillery Academy (St. Petersburg).
