The CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas visited the CSTO Joint Staff

On January 16, 2020, the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav Zas, who took office from the beginning of January 2020, visited the CSTO Joint Staff.
Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, the Head of the CSTO Joint Staff, informed the new Head of the Organization about the main areas of activity in the field of developing a collective security system regarding the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces), improving the organization of joint operational and combat training events, and joint training of military personnel and specialists for the armed forces of the CSTO member states, as well as multilateral military-technical cooperation.
Stanislav Zas visited the decision-making room of the CSTO Crisis Response Center, which is designed to provide organizational, informational, analytical, informational and technological support to the activities of the CSTO's statutory and working bodies in the interests of timely decision-making aimed at ensuring the security, stability, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the CSTO member states.
The Secretary General of the Organization was also told about the activities of the structural units of the CSTO Joint Staff, acquainted with the historical exposition of the lecture and exhibition hall located in the International Military Center.
Stanislav Zas noted that the CSTO Joint Staff is an effective structure. “A regulatory legal framework has been created for the operation of the Joint Staff, there is a team of well-trained specialists and, most importantly, an algorithm of work has been worked out. But, of course, it is necessary to develop, go further and improve the mechanisms for responding to modern challenges and threats for the CSTO member states. This process has been structured in many areas,” said the CSTO Secretary General.
