The Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff took part in the events of the “ARMY-2023” International Military-Technical Forum

On 14 August, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, took part in the events of the scientific and business program of the “ARMY-2023” International Military-Technical Forum held at the “Patriot” Congress and Exhibition Centre, the leading exhibition venue of the Russian Ministry of Defense
During a visit to the large-scale exposition of the International Military-Technical Forum, the Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov noted: "Within the framework of military-technical cooperation among the CSTO member states, special attention is being paid to the implementation of measures under the plan to equip the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces with modern weapons, military and special equipment and special means. Together with the defense departments of the CSTO member states, the CSTO Collective Security Council has been working on a draft decision “On the list of standard modern and promising models of weapons, military and special equipment proposed for equipping the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian region”.
The Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff participated in working meetings with representatives of the Defense Ministries of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan. They exchanged views on advanced military-technical developments and new models of military and special equipment presented at the exhibition. They discussed issues of cooperation in military-technical cooperation and improvement of the collective security system of the CSTO.
The “ARMY-2023” Forum is the largest exhibition of weapons, military and special equipment, recognized as a major event in the sphere of international military-technical cooperation and a unique dialogue platform for exchanging opinions on issues of global and regional security.
The objectives of the forum are the stimulation of innovative development of the Russian defense industry complex, the development of military-technical cooperation between the Russian Federation and foreign countries, and the creation of a positive image of the Russian Ministry of Defense as a modern and dynamically developing structure.
