The regular meeting of the CSTO Military Committee will take place on April 14 at the Congress Center of the Patriot Park. It is planned to discuss challenges and threats to military security in the East European, Caucasian and Central Asian regions 12.04.2021

On April 14, 2021, the 18th meeting of the Military Committee of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states on the development of military cooperation will be held. The event is planned to be held in person at the “Patriot Expo” Congress and Exhibition Center of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in the suburban village of Kubinka.

The meeting of the Military Committee will be chaired by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation - First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Valery Gerasimov. The chiefs of the general staffs of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, the chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, as well as the CSTO Deputy Secretary General Takhir Khayrulloyev will take part in the meeting.

The Tajik side will inform the members of the Military Committee about the priority directions of the CSTO activities in the military sphere, proposed by the Republic of Tajikistan during the chairmanship of the Organization in 2021.

At the meeting, it is planned to discuss the challenges and threats to military security in the East European, Caucasian and Central Asian regions, events for joint training of command and control bodies and formations of the assets of the CSTO collective security system, the activities of the CSTO Crisis Response Center and the creation of a joint unit of radiation, chemical and biological protection and medical support.

The Military Committee members will hear information from the Head of the Combined Arms Academy of the Order of Zhukov of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the basic educational and methodological organization for the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces personnel training. Also in the course of the meeting, they will inform about the activities of the Krasnodar Higher Military School named after General of the Army S.M. Shtemenko as a basic educational and methodological organization for training military personnel for the CSTO member states in the field of information security.
