Consultations aimed at further developing the crisis response system were held at the CSTO Joint Headquarters

January 29-30, this year Consultations were held at the Joint Headquarters of the Collective Security Treaty Organization to harmonize draft documents aimed at further developing the CSTO crisis response system.


The event was held under the general direction of the Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of the CSTO, Major General Sergei Kuprik. Representatives of interested ministries and departments of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Secretariat and the CSTO Joint Staff took part in it.

During the consultations, a draft Regulation on the information interaction of the CSTO Crisis Response Center was agreed.

Summing up the event, Sergei Kuprik noted that this document is very important for improving work on collecting and analyzing information on the state of the military-political situation in the CSTO area of ​​responsibility, as well as for predicting its development in order to timely identify the prerequisites of crisis situations.

"In modern conditions, only the availability of relevant and complete information on the existing challenges and threats, the state of the national contingents of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) will ensure quality preparation of proposals to the statutory bodies of the Organization to protect the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the CSTO member states by collective efforts" Deputy Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff.

The CSTO Crisis Response Center is intended for organizational, informational, analytical and informational and technological support to the activities of the Collective Security Council, the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs, the Council of Ministers of Defense, the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils and CSTO bodies in order to make timely decisions aimed at ensuring security, stability, territorial integrity and sovereignty of the CSTO member states. The center has organized round-the-clock duty by the military personnel of the CSTO Joint Staff. The duty shift collects, analyzes and exchanges information on the state and trends of the situation in the area of ​​responsibility of the Organization.

The effective functioning of the CSTO Crisis Response Center increases the speed of making and implementing decisions on the use of forces and means of the collective security system in the area of ​​responsibility of the Organization.
