The CSTO Military Committee will discuss the challenges and threats to the military security of the CSTO member states on November 19
On November 19, 2020, the 17th meeting of the Military Committee on the development of military cooperation of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will be held via videoconferencing.
The meeting under the supervision of the Chairman of the Military Committee, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation - First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Valery Gerasimov, is planned to be attended by the Chiefs of General Staffs of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Tajikistan, the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff. The event is planned to be attended by the CSTO Deputy Secretary General Piotr Tsikhanouski.
The meeting of the Military Committee will discuss challenges and threats to military security in the regions of collective security, the main directions for the development of military cooperation of the CSTO member states in the medium term, as well as issues of joint training of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) in 2021.
Members of the Military Committee will be informed about the working meetings of representatives of the medical services of the defense departments of the CSTO member states and about the results of the first stage of comprehensive research work aimed at improving the CSTO Collective Military Air Forces.
