The Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff took part in opening of the 9th International Exhibition of Arms and Military Equipment MILEX-2019

On May 15 in Minsk the Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff colonel general Anatoly Sidorov took part in opening of the 9th International Exhibition of Arms and Military Equipment MILEX-2019 which was the largest international forum of defensive technologies in Republic of Belarus.

Main goals of an Exhibition – assistance to technical re-equipment and increase in efficiency of activity of the Ministry of Defence of Republic of Belarus, development of military and technical cooperation with the foreign states.

Arms, military equipment, space technologies were presented at an exhibition. This year the Exposition was replenished with the new thematic sections devoted to anti-terrorist protection of objects, the police equipment, special technical means of law enforcement agencies and also accident and disaster prevention.

During visit of an exposition of the International Military and Technical Forum the Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff held working meetings with the First vice-minister of digital development, the defense and space industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Zhanzhumenov, with the management of the Ministry of Defence of Republic of Belarus and also with a number of heads of the enterprises subordinated to the State Military-Industrial Committee of Republic of Belarus.

Along with exchange of views on the modern military and technical developments presented at an exhibition, issues of development and improvement of military and technical and military-economic cooperation in the sphere of military safety of the CSTO were discussed.

Anatoly Sidorov noted that the 9th International Exhibition of Arms and Military Equipment MILEX-2019 was the unique platform for interaction of representatives of defense industry complexes of CSTO member states which creates all conditions for effective development and deepening of military and technical and military-economic cooperation.

The Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff expressed gratitude to organizers of a forum for the given opportunity of participation in actions and also for the high level of their carrying out.
