BAGMANYAN Haykaz Papikovich

Born on October 24, 1963 in the village of Getashen of the Khanlar District of the Azerbaijan SSR. He graduated from the Higher Artillery Command School. Khmelnitsky in 1985, academic courses of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in 2002.

Married He has two sons and a daughter.

From 1981 to 1992 he served in the Armed Forces of the USSR.

From 1992 to 1994, he participated in the hostilities in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

In 1992, by the order of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, he was appointed commander of the defense region of the self-defense committee of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

From 1993 to 1999 he held the posts of regiment commander, brigade.

Since 1999, the commander of the 5th Army Corps of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

Since 2003, the commander of the 2nd Army Corps of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

In September 2009, by decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant general.

By the decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia of March 22, 2018, he was appointed Deputy Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff.
